Description
The Surly Bridge Club would be just as well suited to be your first offroad touring bike as it would be to be your last. A highly versatile platform, the Bridge Club sports all the mounting points you could ever need, for racks and panniers front and/or rear, three-pack mounts on the fork and downtube, and fender mounts with clearance for 700x47c or 27.5x2.6" tires.
Comfortable on roads or off the beaten path, the Bridge Club will go anywhere you want to take yourself and your camping gear (or just your #coffeeoutside setup). A chromoly steel frame, using Surly's proprietary Natch tubing, won't flinch under heavy loads or hard riding. Disc brakes handle the stopping duties, and quick release dropouts make dealing with the occasional flat tire a breeze (and make this bike an awesome platform for cost-effective used-parts-bin upgrades).
Shimano's new 11-speed Cues drivetrain delivers easy-to-use, wide-range 1x gearing, which all of us here at Bootlegger Bikes like to see. Find details on the rest of the build here.
