Description

This will be a guided, beginner, family bikepacking trip from Jeffersonville to Elmore State Park via Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.  

 

Riders will be responsible for carrying their own gear and food.  Small backpacking type gear is recommended including sleeping and cooking gear.

 

Two Camp Sites are reserved with a maximum of 8 persons per site.  Tents will be required.   Additional sites may be available, contact Elmore State Park directly.   

 

The route is 28mi each way.  90% of the route is on rail trail, the last few miles are on dirt road ending at The Elmore Store.  The Elmore State Park campground  is less than a tenth of a mile from The Elmore Store on rt12.   

 

The Elmore Store is very close to the camping location, so you can get food and such there if you'd like to travel light.   They're open 7a.m to 7p.m. Every day, except Sunday which is 8a.m. To 4p.m.    They have take-out food as well as basic groceries.  

 

Elmore Lake is adjacent to the campground, so swimming and water play is an option.   There is also great hiking from the campground.  

 

The sites are reserved for Saturday night, June 24th and Sunday night, June 25th.   Folks are welcome to stay for one or two nights.  

 

We'll leave from Bootlegger Bikes Jeffersonville mid-day on Saturday.
